  1. If we are still living in such times – why hasn’t the government gotten involved. Why hasn’t someone (e.g., Jesse Jackson) go to Washington and rally for these children? We need to send the town of Jena, Louisiana a message that we are all God’s children and as such, we should love each other (in spite of our differences). Can’t someone get some of these law school interns to help with this situation (e.g., law students at George Washington University, Howard University, Georgetown)? I am only making suggestions because I believe these individuals perform some pro bono work and if they win this case – what a future they would hold ! Can’t we do something?

  2. We (a group of filmmakers in Philadelphia) tried doing something by making a show about the Jena 6. You can watch it at http://www.collateral.blip.tv (if you watch our show after monday, 16 you have to click on the show dated 07.09.07

  3. Michael Hilger, I watched the collateral episode, it is very interesting and timely. Also, I would like to thank, the person who corrected my posting of the defense committee’s p o box. In my zeal I mis-posted. Sorry everyone. I believe, however; because of the attention the Post Office will do right.

Also, pray fot the Jena Six parents!!!! This is weary journey. They need our prayers. Please pray.

  4. As I read the case, it seems like set-up for a conviction of these young people
who had every right to sit under a tree.
Please review the facts of the case with the defendents before making a judgement .
You are in the best position to see that justice is done.

  5. The racists all of the national feel that they have a friend in the white house. As a result they have become embolded. The outrage of Tulia, Texas, the murder of Frances Nelson, the destruction of a young man’s life due to consentual sex in Georgia are just a few of the injustices that the African American community has suffered in modern times. There are those out there who would have you believe that Martin Luther King solved all Civil Rights issues and that racial injustice and intolerance is a thing out the past. Gains have been made but at the same time racial injustices and intolerance is in many respects worse in 2007 than they were in 1967. That is why we must support the Jena 6 in the same way that we supported the African Americans of Tulia, Texas. The best way to do this is to write your elected officals NOW.

  6. This is Crazy !! People need to realize that everyone put there pants on the same way ! No different !! which means we are all the same !! We have the same blood !!! Everyone should be equal !!!!! No matter what race black, white, pink, red , blue !! watever color !!!! we the same !!!!
