Yesterday, the Jena story was featured on CNN’s Anderson Cooper 360. Finally, the mainstream media is picking up this story! This is a great day for our democracy, when the real news cuts through all that celebrity gossip nonsense. I agree heartily with all the folks who are leaving comments on our site like: “Why haven’t I heard about the Jena story on TV? I’m so tired of hearing about Paris Hilton while our democracy falls apart!” Hang in there, now we’re cooking with gas!
And thanks to Blueintheface for posting this excellent update on DailyKos!

PLEASE LET JUSTICE BE SERVED AND LET ALL OF THOSE KIDS GO, OR
HUNT DOWN THOSE ” NOOSE COWARDS” AND EXPOSE THEM FOR WHO THEY
REALLY ARE BECAUSE “UNDERCOVER COWARDISM” IS NOT THE AMERICAN
WAY……..
Thank you CNN and Anderson Cooper for exposing the truth about the hidden
Racism in America.
The people of Jena including their prosecutor and Judge has planted more seeds
of hatred in their own community and by allowing their children to openly pratice
racism. They are adding fuel to a fire that still burns in the hearts of many White
Americans while still denying that bigotry still exist.
I understand that this has become an ignorant issue in America. First of all there should have never been a “white kid tree” . Second of all, the kids should have never even acknowledged the nooses and retaliated. There is definite ignorance on both parts. The Jena 6 gave the white kids exactly what they wanted, to pprovoke them, and it worked. While there is fault on both sides, we are only hearing about the rally’s and the racism that occured. I have’t heard hardly anything about the boy who got beaten. My son is half hispanic and white. Kids pick on him all the time because we live in the South and that is the mentality here. I have taught him not to give into the temptaion of violence. It goes against God and that is worst than any racism ever.
