Thanks to courageous students of North Carlonia Central University for supporting
the Jena six.
These young people are prime example of how great America can be, when we all
strive to do the right thing.
THANK YOU NBC NEWS FOR YOUR COVERAGE OF THEIR EFFORTS AND FOR
REPORTING THE TRUTH OF JUSTICE BEING DENIED TO THE JENA 6.
THE JUDGE SHOULD BE REMOVED FROM THE BENCH AND THE D.A. SHOULD
BE BARRED FROM PRATICING LAW ANY IN AMERICA.
THEIR ACTIONS PROVE THAT THEY ARE NOT SOLUTIONS TO THIS PROBLEM
OF RACISM, INSTEAD THEY ARE A PART OF THE PROBLEM.
I am a native of Louisiana. I am not residing in Louisiana, but I try to stay abreast of the current events. I believe that just asking for a fair criminal justice system is not enough. These racist individuals have taken it to an extreme, and there idea of a fair criminal justice system is to minimally reduce whatever charges come about. I believe this is absolutely insane what they are doing to these teens. Louisiana’s racial divide remains, still to the day. I am enraged about this. I wish that I knew what I could contribute to help them. I can’t help but think how much of a wake call for Black people, honestly! I believe it is time for a march, very much like Martin Luther King did in our not so far past. Heck, just look at Katrina’s devastation, and the help our people received. Let me take you back a second, when New York was hit by terrorist “EVERYONE” responded, but then again, they had their best interest involved. I can’t help but think that, if those towers were filled with only black people, yeah, we would have made the headlines, but I don’t think we would have gone to war. Why could the whole of America help with Katrina, and since we are talking about kids why don’t they feel this is important….I heard about the Jena “6”, listening to Tom Joyner, and one of his comments was that “We” Louisiana folk are too nice, that made me a little sad, I would not want us too lose our “Southern Charm”, what makes us who we are, what seperates us from the rest. I believe there is a reaction needed, but the black folks in Louisiana do not own the Criminal Justice System, at least tnot there. They have flown under the radar too long and it needs to stop. I know that just about every black person has a story about dealing with, “the law” , in Louisiana. Trust, I believe no one owns the Criminal Justice System, but everyone does not have to live in Jena, Louisiana. As a native of Louisiana, let me say thank you and I appreciate all that yall are doing to help. I will leave my email, let me know how I can join forces with you to help. Peace
