  1. I shoplifted…until I got caught. I stopped. I learned.

He tried to be a good person? No body is perfect? Shoplifting is extremely far from perfect. He did not learn from his punishment.
    Guilty

  2. Too bad that CNN doesn’t report that they were part of the problem – that it was just as much their pressure on him to be their poster boy for their idea of victimhood (rather than the simple truth that ALL victims of abuse are human beings with our own faults and our own heroism) that made his life so difficult since those horrible events.

  3. Goodness “john,” way to be totally judgemental. I’m pretty sure we never have all of the facts, especially in a single news story. I’d want to know more before I perched myself as high and mighty as you.

  4. When does Micah Bells “problems with the law” actually become HIS fault. I live in Louisiana, and the little town of Jena did not deserve all the wopla of what went on. Micah Bell was tried as an adult, because he had gotten in trouble 3 times before (which all were violent) .. After awhile, you lose your right to be tried as a juvenile.. He apparently didn’t learn before.. And doesn’t seem to have learned since…
